To support Cambodian participants entering the World Robot Olympiad – Cambodia Round 2021,  STEM Education Organization of Cambodia is launching a special online robotics training to prepare Cambodian students to participate in this dynamic robotics competition.

Funded by the British Embassy in Cambodia and Juniper Networks, Robots – Future of Energy is a pandemic-resilient program to introduce online robotics training for students primarily aged between 16 to 19 from all over the country. The program is delivered in a supportive, gender inclusive environment, and designed to reach across the provinces to provide students with robotics skills, knowledge of clean energy, intellectual property, and guidance to enter the World Robot Olympiad Cambodia. Our valued training partners, Genesis Cambodia and EnergyLab Asia will assist us to deliver this innovative program.

There are two main programs:

  • Arduino Training
Each team will receive an Arduino starter kit and learn how to build and program a real-world robot using their knowledge of C++ and electrical circuits. With our support, students will design their own robot and enter it into the World Robot Olympiad – Cambodia Round 2021 (Online Open Category)!
  • Virtual Robotics Training

Students will learn to build, program, and simulate their own virtual robot in the LEGO® MINDSTORMS®. They will have the opportunity to test their team skills by competing in the World Robot Olympiad – Virtual Games 2021

The competition uses the Virtual Robotics Toolkit® simulator and is hosted on the new electronic-sports platform www.robotvirtualgames.com (RVG).

Applications for this program are now closed but you may follow-along and be kept informed of future opportunities by joining us on Facebook.
